Weddings in Essex
Very early start this morning at the wonderful Mulberry House in Ongar. My parents live in Ongar so I always get a chance to pop in for a coffee when I work at Mulberry House. Here are some photos of my bride and her bridesmaid today. I also did the makeup but did not get the chance to take any photos so I will upload them once I get the professional ones back from the photographer. Gail x

Spent another wonderful morning at Gosfield Hall on Tuesday, preparing beautiful Jenni, from Ireland, for her wedding day. It was the most perfect crisp snowy day, for a February wedding. I always seem to work at Gosfield Hall when it snows. I am spending the rest of this week carrying out trials for weddings at Leez Priory, Hedingham Castle and Newland Hall and I finish off my week working at the lovely Mulberry House in Ongar, with a 6am start!
I am receiving lots of enquiries for 2015 / 2016 and I can only apologise to all the brides I have had to turn away this year. I have a policy of only one wedding per day so that I can give myself up totally for my bride, without having to rush off to another wedding. I cannot stress enough how important it is to book your wedding suppliers as early as possible. I have such a busy year this year and I am already taking lots of bookings for 2016 so if you are planning on getting married next year, book your suppliers now. I have lots of enquiries from very organised brides asking when I will be taking 2017 bookings. This will be from 1 December this year (2015).

Read MoreHappy New Year to you all! I have had the busiest Christmas (working) ever!! I managed to take Christmas Eve off (my birthday!!) and Christmas Day and Boxing Day and then it was back to all the wonderful brides getting married during the Christmas Period. Christmas is extremely popular for brides. I think if I could turn the clock back, I would probably get married at Christmas. Its such a magical time of year, everyone is full of Christmas spirit, Candles replace flowers, Christmas Trees are dressed beautifully in the venues, I just love Christmas. Christmas 2015 is already getting booked up, which proves it is becoming an increasingly popular time to get married. I can also tell from my diary, that 2015 and 2016 are big years for brides. My diary for this year is filling up so please do not leave it too late to book as I have already had to turn away so many brides this year.
I have spent December at many of the most beautiful venues in Essex. Leez Priory, Gosfield Hall, Newland Hall, The Reid Rooms, Spains Hall, Mary Green Manor, Maidens Barn, Crabbs Barn, Prested Hall, Hylands House and Stock Brook Manor. I started this year off at Maidens Barn and Leez Priory. Essex has so many beautiful venues to choose from. Two of my brides this year both came from abroad to get married. My first bride, Mary, came from New York. That was a great morning, surrounded by New Yorkers, full of life. Then there was FFion who came from Australia to get married at sleepy Maidens Barn, another lovely bride with an amazing life story. I cannot wait to meet all my lovely 2015 brides this year.
Here are some photos of Christmas with my lovely family, starting with my husband and daughter making my birthday cake! Along with my wonderful mum and dad. There are also a couple of photos of hairstyles I have created this year and a frozen Leez Priory Lake. Happy New Year!!

Well this is definitely my favourite time of year!! Christmas trees everywhere and twinkling lights. What a perfect time of year to get married, when the air is already full of christmas magic. I have spent the past week at Pontlands Park, Hylands House and Newland Hall. This week I am at Gosfield Hall, Leez Priory and The Reid Rooms. All of these beautiful venues have put up their wonderful trees and you can feel the magic as soon as you walk through their doors. Brides are replacing flowers for candles and the popular colour theme this year for bridesmaids is dark silver and christmas red dresses. Stunning.
My diary for 2015 and 2016 are getting very booked up. May I ask brides that are getting married in 2017 to please contact me towards the end of next year as I cannot get my hands on a 2017 diary yet. I have tried but they are not published or available for sale yet. As soon as they come in I will put a notice on here.
This is a very hectic time of year for me but as soon as I get some time, I will put up some beautiful photos of my brides and their bridesmaids.

Read MoreMeet three of my recent brides. Here I am showing you my before and after photos as these ladies have very different types of hair. I have two ladies with afro / mixed race hair and also a lady from the philippines who had hair that sat on the floor. This bride wanted me to style her hair so that it looked like it was only half way down her back. I hope you like these hairstyles, they took a lot of time and concentration but I loved every second of working with these lovely brides and creating their perfect hairstyle.

Firstly, a huge apology for not writing in such a while but its the summer and lets just say its busy. Please please be patient if you have emailed an enquiry. I do respond to everyone but sometimes it may take me a day or two longer than usual in the summer. This is just a very brief update of some of my work. Please try and follow me on twitter if you can as I do try and put a photo of my bride that is getting married on that day, up on twitter, just before she heads up the alter. I am working with so many lovely brides and they are all having such different styles. I am having a wonderful time creating such beautiful hairstyles and I am also receiving such lovely emails from brides saying that they had been complimented all day long. That is the biggest reward for me. Here are just a few of my brides from the past few days. 2015 looks like another busy year for me so I had better think about securing my holiday dates soon.
