This week I have been busy with special occasion hair and makeup and also trials for Leez Priory.  Here are my photos for this week.  I have weddings all weekend at Crabbs Barn and Our Lady Immaculate Church in Chelmsford.  Photos of these weddings will be shown here over the weekend.  Here are the photos of my special occasions hair and makeup on Monday and my Leez Priory trial yesterday.

Today I worked with Suzanne and her bridal party.  I prepared the Brides Hair and Makeup and her 4 bridesmaids hair.  Suzannes fiance forgot to download the music for the entire ceremony and meal so poor Suzanne spent most of her morning with a laptop on her knee trying to burn the tracks.  I think it was approximately 30 minutes before her actual ceremony that she actually managed to complete it.  It all worked out fine in the end and the bride and her bridal party all looked beautiful.  Here are some photos of Suzanne’s Hair:

Today I carried out a trial for Jenny who is getting married at Blake Hall in Ongar very soon.  Jenny wanted a romantic hairstyle that was not too severe and was also very soft from the front.  We also opted for a very beautiful natural makeup.  Photos:

I met Suzanne yesterday.  Suzanne is getting married this Saturday at Manor of Groves in Sawbridgeworth, Herts.  Suzanne wanted something beautiful and romantic for her wedding day.  I am attaching two photos.  One of the photos does not have any sparkly pins, the other one does.  Suzanne opted for having sparkly pins.  I think it looks beautiful in both photos.

I carried out hair and makeup trial for a bride and her bridal party on Tuesday this week.  Tarnya is getting married at Spains Hall in Finchingfield.  Her theme is princess and she really did look beautiful.  Tarnya is getting married in the Spring this year. Today I carried out a trial with Sarah James.  Sarah is getting married at Gosfield Hall in the Spring and was unsure of the style she wanted.  We decided to try a half up style and then go on to do an updo.  Both were beautiful but Sarah knew instantly which she preferred.  She has a hauterneck wedding dress so the updo seemed the perfect choice.  I am showing you both styles here. I took a photo of Sarahs hair without any pins and another with sparkly pins.  Sarah opted for the sparkly pins.  Sarah also had her makeup carried out and has decided to have a veil on her wedding day too.  We had a nice morning together and I showed her some simple makeup tricks to bring out the lovely colour of her eyes.  Sarah left, looking very beautiful and ready to have her dress fitting so she can see the full picture.   Tomorrow I have a trial with another bride to be getting married at Spains Hall in Finchingfield quite soon.

I have had a hectic week of trials for weddings over the next couple of months.  I met with a lovely lady called Ellen who had her trial on Monday and she got married today at Leez Priory in the snow.  Leez also have a resident Swan that hangs out by the Fishermans Cottage so if you are getting married at Leez, make sure you have plenty of bread with you!!   On Tuesday I met with another lovely lady called Karen who is getting married at Leez next month and I met with Lisa who is getting married at Newland Hall soon too.  I carried out hair and makeup for them all.  Please find photos attached.  I have another hectic week ahead full of lovely brides and brides to be:

Today I met with a lovely bride to be, Catherine.  Catherine has the most amazing long thick blond hair.  It was such a joy to work with.  Catherine was keen to have all her hair up so we created something rather special.

I have just signed myself up to another of Macs Master Classes which are only available to Professional Makeup Artists.  This particular Masterclass is based in the heart of London and is specialising in Bridal Makeup, keeping up with current trends for the year ahead.  Really looking forward to it but the only problem is they have a shop on site!  All that lovely beautiful makeup, Macs beautiful professional brushes……..I have a feeling it will be a very expensive trip!!

Well we are certainly heading for the wedding season.  Weddings are becoming more frequent and I am getting busier with trials for weddings in Ongar, Blackmore and all over Essex.  Today I carried out a wedding at Leez Priory in Felsted.  Rachel, the Bride, was so calm and also very excited.  Not a single sign of any nerves at all.  How lovely it must be to just be so excited without all the butterflies, she looked like she was just going to breeze through the whole day.  Well it hasn’t rained so far today so it looks like Rachel’s wedding day is going to be just perfect.  I have a busy week next week with trials so I am looking forward to meeting all my new brides to be.  You may want to follow me on Twitter if you would like to see where I am working and what I am up to.  Gail x

Well, what a busy time!  I spent Saturday morning preparing Michelle and her bridal party for Michelles big day at Leez Priory.  I carried out all the makeup for the six people in her party.  We had a lovely relaxing morning waiting for the Mother of the Bride to turn up and her sisters.  All of them looked stunning and each opted for a different look to suit their hair / outfit.  Congratulations Michelle.  On Sunday I had a fabulous day at the Professional Beauty show in London.  I attended two seminars to keep up with trends for 2013.  The two celebrity makeup artists were so inspiring.  The first one is Gary Cockerill.  Many of you may be familiar with him as he is personal makeup and hair stylist for Glamour Model Katie Price.  The other Celebrity Makeup Artist is Armand Beasley, who works with famous celebrities preparing makeup for the Oscars and Baftas.  Very very inspiring!  The show was great fun, lots of Makeup Stalls and Nail Stalls.  You do not need to be in the industry to attend these shows and I really recommend you attend if you like makeup and beauty.  We came away with lots of fancy bags with lots of samples in.  A real girly treat to attend.  We even bumped into Lauren Goodier from Towie!   Today I have had a trial with the lovely Sophie Jackson and I enjoyed trying out my new techniques for a fresh flawless makeup.  I also carried out her hair trial this morning, lots of loose curls and romance in her look today.  Sophie is getting married at Leez in the Summer this year.  Here are some photos of my busy weekend.

Cannot wait until Sunday when I will be heading bright and early for the Professional Beauty Show in London.  I will be taking part in all the conferences and I am particularly excited about attending the Warpaint Conferences.  This year they are focussing on eye makeup so its all about eyes this Spring.  No doubt I will be one of the first to arrive and one of the last to leave, as this show is one of my highlights of the year and I look forward to this show all year round.  I recently attended the Hair Salon International and I will never forget the feeling of coming away so inspired and I know that is how I will feel on Sunday too so watch out all the ladies who have trials with me from Monday next week!!

I spent a lovely morning with Paula and her family at Prested Hall, preparing them for Paulas wedding day.  Paula and her daughter Bianca both had lots of extensions which they needed incorporating so it was quite a long morning.  I arrived at 9.30 and did not leave until just after 3pm, the time of the wedding.  We had such a lovely morning.  Congratulations to you all. x

Have spent the entire morning with a lovely bride, Cheryl, getting her ready for a big day.  Cheryl has been with her partner for 11 years so it was really special today.  I carried out the hair and makeup for the bride and the bridal party.
