I had a wonderful time on the morning of Lisas’ wedding. Lisa had such beautiful hair and she chose a loose romantic updo for her wedding day. She also wanted her bridal party to wear their hair up too. I absolutely love Lisas photos, they were taken by the very talented Rachel Weatherley. Rachel managed to get very close up to Lisa and really capture her beauty. All of Rachels photos did that. I love the photos below, especially the second photo, of Lisa dancing with her father. Congratulations Lisa, I hope you and your husband have a wonderful married life together.

After an extremely busy year styling so many beautiful brides for their wedding day, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that I have the Title of Wedding Hairstylist of the Year Award, with the Essex Wedding Awards, for 2019.   I was a finalist with 9 other fabulous hairstylists and hair salons.  To be announced as the winner was a very proud moment for myself and my family.  This is the third time I have won this fantastic award.  It has inspired me even further, to ensure my brides have the very best and most amazing hairstyle and makeup on their wedding day.  Here are some images from the Awards Evening, also featuring my husband and beautiful daughter who were there to help me celebrate.

Wow, what a week.  I had the fabulous opportunity of working back stage at the local theatre with the fabulous Chelmsford Young Generation Amateur Dramatics Group.  I worked as part of a great team, helping the cast with their hair and makeup for their production of Les Miserables.   It was great working with a team of people all focussed to make sure everyone looked fantastic, and for everything to run smoothly and on time.  There were lots of quick changes, wig changes and fabulous makeup applied the Principles in the show with a particularly haunted look for all the ensemble.  Such a fabulous week with fabulous people, we were all rewarded with the cast receiving a standing ovation every night.  Very well deserved.

Congratulations to these two beautiful ladies, Emma and Kelsey who married at The Channels Estate in Chelmsford, Essex.  These lovely girls were so much fun on their wedding morning and really made me feel part of their day. I carried out the Hair and Makeup for them both and also for their bridesmaid.  These photos were taken by the fabulous Chloe Lee.  I really will always remember my morning with these two, so much fun.  Congratulations.  Gail xx

Congratulations to Liz and Kay who married on Saturday at The Park Inn Palace Hotel, Southend.  Overlooking Adventure Island and the Sea!  What a spectacular view!  I wish I took a photo of the wedding flowers, they were out of this world.  I do not think I have ever seen such amazing wedding bouquets.  I would definitely recommend this amazing florist.  Her name is Sarah Rozee of Re:Creation Flowers.  Outstanding.  Congratulations Liz and Kay, I hope you had the most fantastic time on Saturday. x

I cannot tell you how much fun I had with Bride Michelle and her wonderful bridal party on Friday, at the beautiful Blake Hall Wedding Venue in Ongar.  I love Blake Hall, such a beautiful wedding venue with an amazing Barn too.  Very rustic and earthy, definitely worth looking up if you are still considering wedding venues.  

Michelles wedding was all about family.  She included everyone in her wedding day and made everyone feel they had an important role.  Her two beautiful daughters were flower girls and her sisters and friends were Bridesmaids.  It was a very warmhearted wedding morning, everyone offering to help each other and making sure everything went smoothly.  Also thank you to your wonderful bridesmaid Jenny, who made sure everyone had plenty to eat and drink and kept including me and the makeup artist Elaine, too.  Thank you all for making us feel an important part of your special day. x

This is my lovely bridal party who all got ready at the brides home and then travelled to the stunningly quaint wedding venue Maidens Barn. The bride, Stacey, had 5 bridesmaids so the wedding morning was very entertaining with a fantastic playlist on full volume to keep everyone in the party mood.  Congratulations Stacey. xx

This is lovely Lorna who married very recently at The Warren Estate  in Maldon, Essex.  Such a beautiful venue with a fabulous Golf Course too.  Lorna was adorable!   Lorna had such a calming air about her and was so appreciative of everyones help on the day. Her wedding theme was vintage and she had the most fantastic dress.  I look forward to seeing her professional wedding photos.  Congratulations Lorna, I wish you so much happiness.  xx

This is stunning Zena and her bridesmaid who had their hair styled for Zenas official engagement party.  Wedding to take place next year.  Zena had the most fantastic hair, I could have happily spent hours with her styling her wonderful hair but her event was taking place very early in the day so we only had limited time together to find her perfect engagement hairstyle.  

This is Kate, who I actually did not get to meet until her wedding morning, due to her busy daytime schedule.  I met with Kate, for the first time, at The County Hotel in Chelmsford, Essex, to carry out the hair and makeup for her large bridal party.  Kates’ family all travelled over from America for this very special day so the morning was outstandingly entertaining.  I absolutely love Kates’ chosen wedding hairstyle.  I cannot wait to see all her professional wedding photos, which I will share on here.  Kate had all her wedding preparations of hair and makeup carried out at The County Hotel and then went on to Newland Hall Wedding Venue  for a Twilight Wedding.  This type of wedding is becoming very popular.  The bride can have access to Newland Hall from 4pm with her wedding ceremony taking place from 6pm, followed by a wonderful evening reception.  I think Twilight Weddings are going to become very popular in 2019.

I loved styling beautiful Samantha and her bridesmaids’ hair and makeup on her wedding morning at Mulberry House Hotel in Ongar, Essex.  What a perfect venue!   Samantha had a vintage them and wore a beautiful tea dress to compliment her style.  We had so much fun in the morning, with a fantastic playlist to really set off the vintage feel.  I also absolutely loved her flowers too!  They were created by the most amazing florist, The Botanical Shed.  I really recommend looking her up.  The flowers were so romantic and absolutely perfect for Samantha.  

This is beautiful Jennifer, who married at the most stunning venue, Gosfield Hall.   Jennifer was looking for an elegant hairstyle that would also be able to incorporate simple plaits at the side.  

This is beautiful Anna and her bridesmaid.  Anna married at Takeley Church and held her reception at Hatfield Forest. 

Another very early start yesterday at the stunning venue Gosfield Hall.  I loved preparing Fallon and her four bridesmaids and mother of the bride for her wedding day.  Fallon had the most amazing platinum blonde hair so it was an absolute joy to work with.  Here are some pictures I took yesterday.  One of the Bride, Bridesmaid and the stunning flower girl that had mermaid hair. x
